3 tips for a successful 2024

First and foremost, AcuBliss would like to wish you a splendid new year filled with prosperity, health and love! We hope that these healthy tips will bring you more joy in the new year.

Tip #1- Rest and Relax more

Now that the holidays are over, everyone is scramming to get back to their busy day to day lives.

For some that means continuing to be as productive as possible at home, work or school. We forget that it's important for us stop what we're doing and just breath. So carve out some time in your day to rest and relax.

Studies have shown that this simple act will help reduce stress levels. According to NIH.gov, acupuncture is also shown to help significantly reduce stress, depression and anxiety.

Tip #2- Focus on your Gut Health

The immune system is located in the gut, which is comprised of both the small and large intestines. It's important to keep it flourishing by eating foods that promote the natural healthy bacteria in our gut. This also is how we keep ourselves from getting sick.

There are plethora of studies that are specifically geared toward understanding the many microbes in our intestines. Studies have found that half of these microbes are good and some are bad. However, eating fermented foods such as sauerkraut or Kimchi, Tempe, Miso soup, Yoghurt and Kefir, will increase the good bacteria thus making you healthy.

Eating foods that are acidic in property such as fried foods, processed sugary donuts, or baby back ribs, will increase the bad bacteria and make you more susceptible to getting sick.

Tip #3- Eat plant-based, whole foods

Just eat food in its natural state: apples, berries, oranges, spinach, cabbage, broccoli, kale, sweet potatoes avocados, nuts, seeds, chicken, fish, and grass fed beef are all good examples. Eat them and feel good for life!

Don't forget to drink your water, too. Industry best practices say drinking half of your weight in ounces. For example, someone weighing 150 pounds should drink 75 ounces of water daily. This enables your body to flush out toxins more easily.
